Brook

Gayton Brook

Around 2 miles from the A51 crossing to Fradswell, with an open lower half and an overgrown upper section.

Back to waters

The club has about two miles of fishing on Gayton Brook, starting where the A51 crosses the brook and stretching upstream towards Fradswell.

It holds chub, grayling, and trout, with some surprisingly large fish: trout and chub over 2lb and grayling to around 1.5lb.

The lower half is fairly open for fly or float fishing. The upper half is ‘jungle fishing’ and suits the mobile angler using a short rod to lower baits into deeper holes.
