Club rules

Respect for the water, the fish, and each other.

These rules keep our waters safe, healthy, and enjoyable for all members. Please read them carefully before fishing.

  1. Rule 1

    While fishing on club waters, members must carry their identity card and show it upon request.

  2. Rule 2

    All anglers must hold a valid Environment Agency rod licence.

  3. Rule 3

    Maximum number of rods: 3 on stillwaters, 2 on rivers.

  4. Rule 4

    No dogs are permitted on club waters.

  5. Rule 5

    No ground bait or loose feed on rivers.

  6. Rule 6

    No lead core.

  7. Rule 7

    Barbless hooks only on all club waters.

  8. Rule 8

    Leave gates as you find them.

  9. Rule 9

    No radios or loud music.

  10. Rule 10

    No overnight fishing except on stillwaters with committee approval.

  11. Rule 11

    No litter. Take all waste home.

  12. Rule 12

    No fires or barbecues.

  13. Rule 13

    No outboard engines on club waters.

  14. Rule 14

    The club is not responsible for loss, damage, or injury.

  15. Rule 15

    Membership subscriptions must be paid before fishing club waters.

  16. Rule 16

    No fishing by non-members.

  17. Rule 17

    Members must not sublet or sell tickets.

  18. Rule 18

    The committee reserves the right to change rules and withdraw membership.
