River

River Blithe

Three club stretches on the Upper and Lower Blithe, an unstocked mixed fishery with a strong Mayfly hatch.

Back to waters

The club controls three stretches of the River Blithe: two on the Lower Blithe and one on the Upper Blithe.

All stretches are unstocked and hold chub (often small but up to 4lb in autumn/winter), trout (mostly 10–12 inches with the occasional 2lb fish), plus dace, gudgeon, roach, and a few grayling.

There is a good Mayfly hatch that persists for several weeks. The upper stretch near Blithfield Reservoir is a wild section with very encouraging catch reports.
